Lastminute.com has appointed Drew Robinson as head of country distribution for the UK.

Robinson was formerly partnership manager at Hotel Reservation Services. He started his travel career at HotelConnect and joined the German HRS in 2005 where he was fundamental in launching it into the UK market.

Robinson's duties will include developing relationships with existing clients and attracting new clients to distribute services from lastminute.com's Partner Network. 

This network launched late last year and enabled lastminute.com to wholesale parent company Sabre's complete hotel inventory. This comprises 40,000 hotels from its global distribution system and a further 40,000 merchant rate properties from Travelocity, lastminute.com and medhotels.com.
