Former Abta head of corporate affairs Keith Betton has been appointed as communications consultant to travel agency consortium Worldchoice.

The consortium, which was bought by the Travel Trust Association last year, previously used PR firm Waterside but that contract ended in June.

Betton (pictured) will advise members on communications opportunities and act as Worldchoice’s spokesman.

He will also co-ordinate arrangements for the joint TTA Worldchoice Conference on November 21-22.

He is due to moderate that event, which will take place at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel in Heathrow, and at which former high street jewellery retailer Gerald Ratner has been lined up to speak.
