Key Travel has unveiled a traveller tracking system called KT Risk Manager.

Bosses at the travel management company said there has been increasing customer demand for such a product.

Many of London-based Key’s clients are charities and NGOs and by the nature of their work employees are often exposed to violence, disaster areas and disease.

The technology provides real-time updates on global incidents, threat levels and locations of workers at any given time.

“This is becoming a key requirement for those organisations keen to manage their duty of care, something heightened by the changes to the Corporate Manslaughter Act (Corporate Homicide in Scotland) last year,” said Steve Summers, Key’s chief operating officer.

Summers lauded his clients employees, saying they do “a fantastic job protecting and helping vulnerable people across the globe”.

“It is imperative we do all we can to maximize their safety.”
