The trial of two Thomas Cook reps over the death of two children in Corfu in 2006 is due to begin on June 25.
Nicola Gibson and Richard Carson face trial for negligence, along with hotel staff, following the deaths of Bobby Shepherd, 6, and his sister Christi, 7, from gas poisoning at the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel.
They are facing trial following an unexpected decision by Greek authorities to overturn an earlier recommendation. If found guilty, they could be jailed for up to 20 years.
The decision was met with anger by former colleagues. A year ago they set up a Facebook support group, which now has 1,000 members.
FTO director-general Andy Cooper described the decision as “perverse, unusual and radical”.
And a Thomas Cook spokesman said the company was “shocked and deeply concerned” at the decision to prosecute.
