Crystal Ski has been forced to drop its Lapland 2009-10 programme due to insufficient bookings.
A spokesperson for the ski specialist said that this was a “business decision” and that the number of customers affected was not enough to fill a plane.
Crystal is contacting these customers to offer alternative arrangements where possible.
They will be offered ski holidays at different destinations, a mainstream holiday to Lapland with sister company First Choice or a cancellation free of charge.
By contrast, Inghams has expanded its Lapland programme to include a new destination, Salla, and more seven-night holidays.
Crystal’s announcement follows parent company Tui Travel’s announcement that it will axe its Trips Worldwide and Magic of the Orient brands.
Tui said it would be integrating these products into an expanded version of long-haul brand Travelmood.
Clare Tobin, Tui’s managing director of long-haul brands, said: “A strategic review of a number of these businesses has been undertaken with the aim of bringing together the long-haul brands, improving the offering to customers and strengthening the position in the marketplace.
“We are currently working through a number of proposals to provide cost synergies and efficiencies following the bringing together of the long-haul brands.”
