Award honours Acte founding member
Tuesday, May 20, 2008 One of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives' founding members was yesterday presented with the Advancing the Industry Award at the organisation’s global education summit in Washington DC. Michael Spooner, travel and relocation manager for fashion company JCPenney, is one of only two remaining members from the original ten who founded the Acte in 1988. The award is presented to people who have made a major contribution to innovative travel management. “Michael Spooner embodies the definition of commitment and service to others,” said Acte president Richard Crum. “For more than 20 years, he has been volunteering, serving, and contributing to Acte.
